Arsenal are 5/1 to win the Premiership title following their away victory against Liverpool at Anfield yesterday Sunday. And the Reds are odds-on – 8/13 – to miss out on Champions League football next term.
The Gunners are at betting odds of 1/8 for a top four finish after claiming three points in Northern England, whilst Rafa Benitez’s men are 66/1 to end their title drought.
Ladbrokes spokesman, Nick Weinberg, said: “Liverpool’s title aspirations are all but over. There now has to be serious question marks over their ability to secure a top four spot. In contrast, Arsenal have received a timely shot in the arm.”
London rivals Chelsea are at odds of 4/6 favourites to lift the trophy. Martin O’Neill’s Aston Villa are 13/5 for a top four finish after securing an unexpected away win against Manchester United while the Red Devils are 9/4 to retain their crown.
